A Bon Jovi Morning

It's one of those days.
  • A Claire bomb went off in my house and it's a complete disaster. I can't seem to get it clean.
  • She has pooped on me two days in a row and I'm sick of being pooped on.
  • I don't want to fold the laundry
  • I look forward to eating ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • My piano recital was last night and my students killed it! They did awesome.
So, why do these all add up to Bon Jovi? Because Slippery When Wet has a certain nostalgia to it that relaxes me and calms me down. The poop on my clothes doesn't seem to matter and I'll just enjoy this:

It makes me laugh every time. Then I hug her.

Two Letters

SD. What do they stand for? Sleep Deprived. Oh, yes, they also stand for Stella and Dot. In my world right now, they go hand in hand. Let me explain.

This is RIDICULOUS and I am ready for it to stop. I am up at 4:30 because I get too excited. That's right, too excited for all the gorgeous little things that will show up on my doorstep in a couple days time. Excited to get dressed the next day and pick out my new necklace. Excited that everything is just so fun and beautiful. Excited that everyone who did come to my party had a great time and I was equally having a great time. Excited to throw one for everyone I know. Excited that I got $130 worth of free jewelry just by getting some cookies and setting up a table. Excited for everything. Too excited.

Now, stomach, settle down! I want to go back to bed and dream about Claire's new tooth that wakes me up every night. I want to dream about lying on a beach with my family or going on a walk down a gorgeous little path. Actually, I just want to dream! Did you all know that the birds start chirping at about 4 am. Didn't know that? Well, I wish I didn't either. I will try to tone down the excitement over here. :)

Until then, cheers to all the beautiful little nothings in our life.

Getting Frivolous

So, I am getting frivolous over here! Yesterday I went to the grocery store and bought a box of Cinnamon Life Cereal aka the King of all cereals. It was $2.98 and I haven't bought it in months because I feel like cereal is expensive. To tell you the truth, it's not. It makes me happy. This morning as I opened my boring cereal cupboard door, my heart fluttered and I let out a happy sigh knowing that my mouth would be having a party this morning. What a lovely day. Cheers!

California Picture Attack

Well, we did go to sunny California last week for our family vacation and we had the best time!!! We started off the week with Brian's Aunt Jan in Vegas. We beat her in a couple of games of St. Petersburg (my fav) and it felt good to win. I've been on a mean losing streak and it was nice to break that. She is hilarious!!! I'm glad we got to stay with her and get to know her better!

Next, we finished our drive to glorious San Diego! I must admit, I think San Diego is my new favorite spot in California! We had sooooooo much fun! We really should do another vacation there and spend the whole week. There was so much to do and we didn't get to do it all! We stayed with my best friend, Lindsey for three days and she was more than the perfect hostess! It was like old times again! Staying up late and laughing our heads off. She was also the perfect escort around San Diego. We kicked of SD with a walk around beautiful Balboa park. MY. GOODNESS! It was GORGEOUS! Why can't Utah have parks like this? Here are some pictures:
Rose Garden

Is it just me, or does that background looks like Louie's place from the Jungle Book?

We made Monday a beach day. We started off at La Jolla Cove snorkeling and looking at crabs. Although Brian thought the snorkeling was a little disappointing, we still had a good time. Lindsey even took a shot at it and didn't hyperventilate too much while breathing under water. :) Nice Job, Linds! It was a beautiful day. Claire didn't like the water much at first and would really scream at them when they crashed on the rocks, but after a few big waves hitting her diaper, she was a beach baby. She even ate the sand, one pincer grasp at a time.

We also went to Mission Beach for the second half of beach day. Brian and I went boogie boarding. He was in a wet suit, nice and warm, and he FORCED me to go in without one. It was sooooo cold, but I'm glad I did because we had a blast. Thank you to Lindsey for watching Claire for us! She took some HILARIOUS pictures of Claire while we were out there. They still make me bust up!

Here they are: Hilarious!!!

That night we spent in Old Town. We got a few real oil paintings for a STEAL! Seriously!!! We got two and are so excited about them. Brian and I have always wanted real art in our house, but it was always too expensive.

Tuesday was San Diego Zoo day, one of Brian's bucket list items. It was enormous and so fun! We did the whole zoo in one day, where it's definitely big enough to do in two! Claire really liked the meerkat's the most. She slept through the Panda's, which was sad, but they were one of my favorites.
She LOVED petting the goats.

Hugged every panda stuffed animal.

Ok, this Panda sat there for literally, 5 minutes taking a drink!

Seeing a enormous Polar Bear swim? Highlight.
Wednesday we left SD for LA. We stayed with Ian and Makenna for three more days. Claire had SOOOO much fun with Ethan and I think she is still going through withdrawals. She definitely misses having buddies around maybe even more than we do. We also had a blast hanging out with them. We went swimming together, which Claire and I loved. We also watched Megamind for the first time. HILARIOUS!!! I'm glad we introduced Ian and Makenna to Redbox. :)

Even though it doesn't look it, they were having a blast on the air mattress.

We also went to Downtown Disney, which made me soooo hungry for Disneyland. It was too expensive for one day, but maybe next time, when Claire is a little older.

She loves build a bear!

We finished our trip at Aunt Jan's in Vegas again. Breaking up our trip proved to be a huge lifesaver with a baby. Claire got to ride around in this adorable whale and loved every second.

Hopefully you can see how happy Claire is in this picture below.

HUGE thank you to Lindsey, Ian and Makenna for letting us crash at their house! We had so much fun catching up and hanging out. We miss you guys already! We really did have such a wonderful vacation and miss California!

Stella and Dot Girl Party

Hey guys, I am SOOOOOO excited for my Stella and Dot party! I just ordered some more of my jewelry today and it feels like Christmas! Seriously! What could be more fun than a girl party of trying on jewelry? I dare say that not much can compete. Totally no pressure. If you love it, great! If you love cookies, great! If you love socializing, even better! If you're reading this, then yes, I want you to come. I want to send out real invitations as well, but I don't have everybody's address. Please email me your address at stacywanderson@gmail.com or call me at 801-356-1015 (I love to chat). If you can't make it, you can browse and/or order at my website: stelladot.com/stacya. I went to my friend's party two weeks ago and had A BLAST!!! I've been to Mary Kay parties and the like many times and hated them because I felt so pressured to buy everything I tried. This is totally no pressure. Just a girl party. So much fun!

It's Thursday, June 23rd from 7-9 pm. You can stop by and leave anytime. The address will be on the invitation.

Also, if you want to host a party, you can get lots of money in FREE jewelry! How awesome is that! It's so incredibly easy to do and I would love to throw a party for you! Please let me know and we'll set it up.

Have We Really Had Time for This?

What a CRAZY week! I can't believe that we actually did so much stuff and I haven't gotten an ulcer or something. Monday, of course, was memorial day. Super rainy, but I still "planted" my garden at my moms. She wanted me to make the rows, but I had to do it with my feet since I was sinking down 6"+ in the mud. It was quite the experience.

Seven Peaks opened on Tuesday! YAY!!! Claire had SO. MUCH. FUN. in the water. Despite being a little bit sick, she had a blast with her friend Kylie and we moms had a blast too. I'm so glad she's going to be a little water baby! I took her on her first waterslide and I can't say that she liked it. Pretty sure she even hated it. We went on the slow one even and she got a little scared at the "speedy" parts. She liked it when I was almost at a complete stop. :) I'm sure she'll like it by the end of the summer.

Look at that little camera happy Kylie back there. Claire? Not so much.

She walked more here than she ever has before. Guess it's the right motivation.

Her teeth were chattering at this point. Little warm up time.
She headed straight for the water as soon as her swimsuit was on.

Tuesday was also Stella and Dot night with Rachel. It was so good to see her. We just don't hang out enough. Maybe if she wasn't so busy we could. Hmmm.... :) Anyway, I went there with every intention of being extremely frugal and I failed. Their jewelry is GORGEOUS! So I bought some and I've been giddy ever since. Also, I got SOOO excited about it that I'm going to be a stylist! I was so excited that even having my tire blow-out on the freeway didn't dampen my mood. It's kind of like how Mary Kay people do it, only more fun and with jewelry. If you guys want a PARTY, let me know! I'm throwing my launch party on the 23rd of this month and EVERYONE is invited. It's totally fun, stress free, and you don't even have to buy anything. You just try on gorgeous jewelry....for fun! :) If you want to come, email me your address! Seriously, EVERYONE can come. :) My email is stacywanderson@gmail.com. I'll send you an invite!

Thursday was LES MISERABLES day!! Guys, this was my first Broadway show and it didn't disappoint. It was A.m.a.z.i.n.g!!!! I felt like Fontine hit every nerve in my body and it spilled out through my eyes. She was incredible. There was no reason to even be crying at the times I did. Haha. It was just so wonderful! I can't even begin to tell you about the men's voices. Ah. I was swooning over them, that's all. That was my Christmas present from Brian. Thank you!!!!

I've also decided that my girls night's out have been a little too low key. Why have we not gotten all dressed up in a hot dress and high heels before this just to go out to dinner? It was so much fun! We definitely need to do that again just for the heck of it!

Yesterday one of Brian's converts from his mish got married in the Salt Lake Temple. It was a very cool thing to be a part of. She looked beautiful and they both look so happy. Also, such a small world. A guy from my high school went to Brian's mission a little after he got home, so I kind of knew him too. Kinda crazy.

Throughout all of this I have been trying, and failing, at getting things ready for our vacation that we are leaving for today. I can't wait to be in San Diego, LA, and Vegas just to be away from all of this stress! Can't wait!
