This is so lame. Claire has these adorable strawberry pajamas....and she's getting too big for them....and it makes me sad. Lame, I know. They're my favorite jammies that she has and she looks so cute in them. Maybe we'll get a couple more nights in them. I wish their clothes just grew up with them. Sigh.

2 Month Check-up
Wanna know what's new with our little squirt? Well, she's short and fat!
Measurements:
Head: 40 cm - 82 percentile
Length: 22 in - 38 percentile
Weight: 12 lbs 3.5 oz - 86 percentile
Yup! Short and fat! I knew that she hadn't really gotten longer, but my arms have told me that she has gotten heavier. I'm glad. I love chubby babies. :)
She smiles a TON for Brian. Of course I can get her
to stop crying easier. I think that must have something to do with that woman anatomy that feeds her all the time. Ya think? It's so cute to see how much she loves her papa though. She is quite the momma's girl right now though. She just clings to me most of the day. She's my favorite! Here are some pictures of our growing girl.
Asleep this morning
I was trying to get her to smile and all she would do is stick her tongue out at me. What a silly girl! I do love her tongue too!

Pictures
We realized last night that we haven't been taking pictures, so we took a few yesterday. My next goal is to go get actual family pictures taken. Hopefully we'll do that soon. Anyway, these aren't anything spectacular, but it's what we did yesterday.
Family :)
Her new favorite thing to do is stand up. She's still very wobbly, but I don't have to help her stand. She's got some pretty strong legs. Obviously it makes her very happy. I love her smile!
She's 8 weeks old today. That's so crazy to me! Time goes so fast when you're having fun! I love staying home with her all day and playing with her. Being a mom is the very best thing!

Brothers, Trash, and Theft
Story time. How do brothers, trash, and theft relate to each other? Well, I will tell you. Last night, my brother called to tell me that he and his girlfriend were coming over. Well, with baby diapers, the trash gets kind of stinky, so I had Brian take out the trash. We don't usually take it out at night because it's kind of scary (rape central) without lights over by the dumpster. Anyway, when Brian came back in, he said that there were some people in the carport by our storage units just chilling and talking. We got a flashlight and went out to see who it was since it all seemed kind of strange. When we shined our flashlight on them, we had no idea who they were, so we asked them if we could help them with anything. "Uh, we're just waiting for some people," they said. Then they guy started pounding on the building with his foot. Ok....weird. We were a little freaked out and didn't really want to get ourselves into anything dangerous so we went back inside where we proceeded to embarrass ourselves in front of Jason's girlfriend until midnight.
After they left, we went back outside to see if everything was okay. They had kicked off our storage unit's door handle and tried to card the door. I think I'm a pretty good door carder, so I tried and luckily I couldn't get it to budge; however, since the other side of the handle was still in the door, all I had to do was get some pliers and open it pretty easily. We had all of our camping stuff and snowboarding stuff in there, so I was kind of worried about it. Nothing was taken luckily. We brought everything inside just to be sure we still had it in the morning. We left our christmas stuff out there since Brian's convinced that they only take "valuables." They sure would ruin my christmas if they had the heart to take that, so shame on them if they would have.
I'm not sure why they didn't finish their dirty little duty. Maybe it was because we went out and saw them, so if we did call the cops, we could give a good description. Who knows. For some reason I feel that if my brother didn't call, then we wouldn't have taken out the trash and seen them and then we would be camping gear-less and two snowboards short right now. We'll be getting deadbolts this week. Hopefully that will be enough.

It's What I Do Now
Cookies. Yum. Delicious. Sweet. Tasty. Variety. Crunchy or Chewy. Addictive.
These little monsters have been my craving ever since Claire was born. I don't know what happened to me. I used to have control over myself, but I have since lost hope. I have made TONS of cookies. Brian bought a huge 25 lb. bag of flour. At first I thought he was ridiculous for buying that much flour and now I am grateful. (Thanks to my mom who gave me a bucket to store it.)
Let's give you an example of how pathetic I am. Made peanut butter cookies two weeks ago. They were gone by the weekend. The next Monday I made Sugar cookies. Gone by Thursday. Holy cow!!! I didn't even gain a pound! So, while this "eat cookies and stay the same weight" nonsense is still going on, I'm going to make chocolate chip cookies today and I'm sure they'll be gone by Friday.
A little in my defense, my brother eats more cookies and ice cream than the entire world combined, so I gave him a bag each time too. :) He tried to say no to them once. Ha! I know better. All you have to do is show him the bag, and they're already consumed in his mind. Thanks Jason. :)

YAY!!!!
After squishing two roaches last night and having nightmares that they were infesting my bed....we had the pest control come today! YAY!!! I can sleep more happily at night now and I don't have to be afraid to enter my kitchen. Our neighbors were seeing them in their apartment too, so it was good that we had the whole building done. Long Day
Oh boy! I sure love that little girl, but I sure love it when she sleeps. She's been such a good schedule keeper, but there's that one day that all things get thrown out of the window. Yesterday: no naps. What did this mean for me? LOTS of walking, taking her out in her stroller since she kinda goes crazy being inside all day; standing all day, nursing, burping, changing, trying to figure out what's wrong, letting her scream....and scream...and scream to hope she falls asleep. No luck. It usually takes me a few hours to get her to go to sleep and I'm ok with that because she's sound asleep by 10 or 11:30. Last night she didn't go to sleep until 2, which was hard, but still ok. What's wrong, you ask? It was that I had been holding a crying baby since 6pm and she wasn't going to sleep! Ugh. She would take a 30 minute nap and wake up just screaming. Did I eat something she didn't like? I didn't eat anything I haven't had before. She's not sick. She gets that way when she doesn't take any naps during the day. Hopefully she's super zonked out today and sleeps a lot. That would be nice.
She finally fell asleep when I took her for a drive. Goodness.
Then you wake up super tired in the morning and look at their cute little sleeping face and realize that all mom's have to go through this and it won't be the last. I love her sleeping face and I'm so grateful for sleeping babies.

Provo Wal-Mart Was My Idea
Yes, the title was inspired by the stupid, "I'm a PC and windows 7 was my idea" commercial. I don't like those commercials. Anyway, anyone else loathe the Orem Wal-Mart? Ever been? Well, you'll hate it. It's dirty and disgusting, nothing is ever in stock and if it is in stock, then it's usually in the wrong place, and the lines are ridiculously long. I've waited for 30+ minutes in line before. Why in the world do they have one Wal-Mart for two universities???? That's my question. We should have the Orem one for UVU and they should transform the deserted K-Mart by the university mall into a Wal-Mart. Just sayin'.
My name is Stacy, and Provo Wal-Mart was my idea.
