A Bon Jovi Morning

It's one of those days.
  • A Claire bomb went off in my house and it's a complete disaster. I can't seem to get it clean.
  • She has pooped on me two days in a row and I'm sick of being pooped on.
  • I don't want to fold the laundry
  • I look forward to eating ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • My piano recital was last night and my students killed it! They did awesome.
So, why do these all add up to Bon Jovi? Because Slippery When Wet has a certain nostalgia to it that relaxes me and calms me down. The poop on my clothes doesn't seem to matter and I'll just enjoy this:

It makes me laugh every time. Then I hug her.

Two Letters

SD. What do they stand for? Sleep Deprived. Oh, yes, they also stand for Stella and Dot. In my world right now, they go hand in hand. Let me explain.

This is RIDICULOUS and I am ready for it to stop. I am up at 4:30 because I get too excited. That's right, too excited for all the gorgeous little things that will show up on my doorstep in a couple days time. Excited to get dressed the next day and pick out my new necklace. Excited that everything is just so fun and beautiful. Excited that everyone who did come to my party had a great time and I was equally having a great time. Excited to throw one for everyone I know. Excited that I got $130 worth of free jewelry just by getting some cookies and setting up a table. Excited for everything. Too excited.

Now, stomach, settle down! I want to go back to bed and dream about Claire's new tooth that wakes me up every night. I want to dream about lying on a beach with my family or going on a walk down a gorgeous little path. Actually, I just want to dream! Did you all know that the birds start chirping at about 4 am. Didn't know that? Well, I wish I didn't either. I will try to tone down the excitement over here. :)

Until then, cheers to all the beautiful little nothings in our life.

Getting Frivolous

So, I am getting frivolous over here! Yesterday I went to the grocery store and bought a box of Cinnamon Life Cereal aka the King of all cereals. It was $2.98 and I haven't bought it in months because I feel like cereal is expensive. To tell you the truth, it's not. It makes me happy. This morning as I opened my boring cereal cupboard door, my heart fluttered and I let out a happy sigh knowing that my mouth would be having a party this morning. What a lovely day. Cheers!
