Hailey's 2 Months....and More

This big squish is SQUISHY!!!! We all had bets on how much this girl was going to weigh and I'm proud to have come the closest. I thought she'd be about 13 pounds. I knew she had to be porkin' out around there after I walked to our mail room with her. I thought I was doing some sort of cardio weight lifting lugging that girl around! Seriously!

Weight: 13 lbs 12 oz - < 97th%
Height: 22.9" - 75th%
Head: 15.something" - 80%

Claire was only 12 lbs 3.5 oz and Jared was 10.10. WHAT!? That poor little guy was so small. I have kids on completely opposite ends of the spectrum. Good thing is they all hover around average later. I'm still hoping that Jared goes on a growth spurt and gets a little more toward the 50% on height (one can hope).

Well, this Hailey is just a delightful bundle of wonderful. Seriously, she's a dreamboat. She's squishy, and I love that, she's cuddly....maybe a little too cuddly (I miss sleeping by myself), and she smiles all the time for me. I eat it up. Gosh, she's cute. She loves her baths, loves her family, and is quite happy to stay home. I can't remember where we were, but we weren't home. She cried and cried, so we left wherever we were and when we got home she was happy the rest of the night. Little Miss Opinionated.

See that owl up in front? That's pseudo mom. When I lay her down I have to place something where I "should" be so she doesn't know I'm missing. This girl.... she likes to snuggle.

This does NOT give her rolls justice.

I other news, Claire has been going to preschool at our local rec center. It's so fun and awesome. She loves it so much and loves her teachers. Our favorite, Miss Kathryn, decided that it was a good idea to quit so she could enjoy her summer and hopefully start her family. Sheesh....can you even believe that.... Seriously, though, I'm excited for her, but I'm SOOOOOOO sad for us. I really, really love that woman and Claire talks about her as if she's part of our family. "Mom look, there's Kroger, that means we have to turn her and go to school because Miss Kathryn wants me." "Mom, can I go to school because Miss Kathryn is looking for me." On and on.....

Jared and Claire being best friends. Claire went to the splash park with a friend the other day and Jared cried and cried because she was gone.

It's almost unfair that we have to move while Hailey is two months old. The poor girl can't be held as much as she wants because I'm packing and cleaning. These two crazies haven't had enough attention either and I feel bad....but then I remember that we're leaving the apartment life and I couldn't be more excited to get out of this place!

AND...... Without further adieu....Jared's behinder..... BAHAHA!!

Just look at that diaper filled with water!!!!

Bahahah...I think this picture sums him up perfectly.

Sibling Comparison

Here's a two month old comparison of all three...just in case you didn't think my kids looked alike already. I think Hailey has the best hair so far. It takes looking back to realize how funny babies hair can be when their mother doesn't have the sense to cut it...  Maybe Hailey was sent with a full head of hair for that reason. Who knows...but I like it. ;)

SHE SMILES!!!...and the boys went camping...

There's proof that this girl can do more than just look adorable all the time! FINALLY! I feel like poor little Hailey, coming in at #3, has gotten significantly less pictures taken of her first few weeks. I know I got sleep smiles with the other two, but with her we've just sat back and enjoyed them instead of snapping them on the camera. However, this girl is a little tough to get a smile out of unless she's well fed and has just woken up. Gosh, this little squish just melts me.

This is a shot of our first attempt. If you look closely....very closely....you can see her cheek muscle tensing and that's about it.

This weekend was the father - son campout. I was so excited for the boys to go, mostly because Jared LOVES to be outside and we really don't go outside much these days. Hailey still inhales too much wind (because Texas has a never ending supply of wind) and soon it will be too hot. Don't get me started on Texas outside the front door. I'm hoping that living in a house will change my view of Texas (cross my fingers). Anyway, they had a BLAST and I'm sure Jared could camp with Dad every single weekend.

While they were gone, I was excited for our girls night filled with pedicures, dressing up, and having a princess ball. Hailey had other plans that consisted of being held and screaming. We did get our pedi's in at least.

Claire's super happy about her blue nails and Hailey's purple toenails.

This is as far as our "dressing up" went...and the best picture we could get with the self-timer before Hailey really wailed. It's probably ok....I do NOT fit into that prom dress 7 weeks postpartum.

Claire is sweet enough that coloring in her makeup and Cinderella dress was magical enough.

AND....because they're cute. Here's a few more.....

Jared fell asleep in his beloved hot wheels this morning.

Now, I love it when Hailey sleeps on me. It's probably the best snuggling I get and I love every second of it. (I also love how skinny a baby and a blanket makes me look. It's just too bad wearing blankets isn't in fashion, right!?)  Also, Claire got stuck in that bucket. She cracks me up.
