One of THOSE bloggers

I have been terrible at blogging. I'm going to become a person that blogs about a whole month at a time soon. I don't mean to be nor do I want to be. I'll try to do better.

We'll start with my 15 week update.

The nausea has worn off (what little nausea I had). YAY! Doughnuts are still a daily craving, but I try to just eat an apple and drink water because I don't really want to look like a doughnut already.

This week has been a little scary/emotional for us. I had an ultrasound on Monday to make sure everything is ok because I started bleeding on Sunday night (sorry if that's TMI for you). Talk about scary. Everything looks to be ok for now, we're just keeping watch on this little baby of ours. They said I have a very small uterine tear that they're not worried about. Apparently they're normal when your uterus is stretching. That's probably not why I'm bleeding though. They said I probably just burst a capillary when I was sneezing or something or maybe I over-did it the other day and it's nothing to worry about. Well, I tell you what, it's scary and I do worry about it! It was such a relief to see that everything is ok and we're just praying like crazy that it stays that way.

Here's a shot of the little tyke. The glory of ultrasounds: the baby's head and body are magically disconnected. Haha. The larger round circle to the left is it's body and the one to the right is a face shot. You can see the eye socket and it's nose. The bug eye looking thing on the other side of it's head is the little hand. This baby was kicking and moving like CRAZY. The only thing Claire did when we had her ultrasound was move her hand once. This was a little more fun to see it wiggling. I'm not gonna lie....I cried when I saw it's heart beating. It was a scary morning. Thank goodness my mom came down and took care of Claire and me. She is so wonderful and I just don't know what we would do without mothers.

The rest of these pictures are just from what's been going on lately. We have been going camping and having a fun time. I just wish everything would go as we plan so we can have a more relaxing time camping. The first time we went, we couldn't find our camp site, so we ended up finding one up squaw peak and it did turn out to be fun. The problem? Claire slept for 3 hours while we trekked all over the mountain trying to find our reservation, that when we actually set up camp at midnight, she thought the tent was a bounce house and Brian and I were SO tired. It was fun though and she enjoyed herself.

Camping

Brian spent 5 days in Chicago this past weekend, so Claire and I went to my parent's house for a little company and to get away from Provo. We had so much fun! Claire didn't like the swimming the first day we tried, but we left the water overnight to warm up and she had a great time the next day!

Claire's new favorite thing is to sweep. I'm trying to find a Claire size broom because she knocks things over with the real thing.

Last but not least, she likes to eat alligators.

Habits

I have always, ALWAYS stuck out my tongue when I am concentrating and someone has ALWAYS told me that I'm sticking out. I will be forever made fun of.

I play with my gum. Yes, it's gross.

I start getting excited for Christmas somewhere around my birthday....in August. I also love to see our tree put up the day after Halloween.

I sing to a pretend audience from time to time and imagine that I'm the best singer in the world.

I have purposely played a hard(er) piece of piano music when I knew someone was coming over and they would "overhear". Ugh. Talk about fishing for a compliment. For shame.

Every January I wish it were June.

I shop to feel better. Uh....confession of a shopaholic I think. It's true. Sometimes I like to just bring something new home.

I wish we didn't have so much stuff....also a problem of a shopaholic.

I am a frantic budgeter. I try not to be stingy, so I'll stop budgeting....then we get into trouble. Seems like I need to find a happy medium.

I feel bad, no...terrible if I don't pray kneeling down.

When I drink hot chocolate I have to have a cup of cold milk too so I can drink them interchangeably.

I constantly dream about the house that I will someday have with the cute little yard.

My favorite moment of my life had to be labor. Not just labor, but becoming a family (with children) for the very first time.

I still am convinced that I married the hottest man alive. He gets mad at me every time I tell him this. Not convinced? I had a girl take a picture of him just because sometimes people think he looks like Jake Gyllenhall (sexiest man alive 2005-ish). :)

I worry that I'm not smart enough or good enough at things I do.

Sunday is and forever will be the biggest vegging day of the week. Weight doesn't count on Sunday.

In a world that is getting increasingly greener and healthier, I say cheers to you....as I eat a dozen cookies.

I would feel lost if I don't talk to my mom almost every day.

There you go, a little about me.

Thank you, Lindsey, for inspiring this post. :)

New Favorites

1. Bare Escentuals

Rachel Forsgren, you naughty naughty person! I owe this new love to Rachel. We had a girls day last Friday and she took the liberty of introducing me to Sephora and all of their little lovelies.
I got some new eye shadow and I love love love it. It's all shiny and fun and I can mix colors to my hearts desire. Sigh. Thank you!

2. Crackers

Now, I've always love these wonderful little goodies, but they became a whole new thing for me with this morning sickness that decided to show it's ugly self. I eat them all. day. long. Maybe I should buy stock in them so I make some money off of myself. Later it will be tums for pregnancy heartburn....
3. Dating

Of course this isn't just a new favorite, but a long forgotten one. They say that you date your husband less when you have children. It's true. We don't like paying for babysitters or I feel bad asking my neighbors, or I feel bad having my mom do it.....all of the above.....so we don't get out much. However, we went to Lea Salonga last week and it was, simply put, amazing. It was so much more fun than I thought it would be and she just has such an incredible voice. I think Brian had some love thoughts toward her as she was singing "On My Own"...but it's ok....maybe I did too. :) If you don't know who she is, then go watch Aladdin (she's Jasmine) or Mulan (she's Mulan) or watch PBS's everyday reshowing of Les Miserables (she's Eponine) and she was also the first to play Kim in Miss Saigon. Sigh. I love all of those.

Not my favorite picture of us, but at least we got one.

4. Claire

Normally Claire in the bathroom means trouble. She's always getting into the toilet cleaning brush. GROSS! Best of all, she does it after her bath, so I have to bathe her again. Ugh. Not a happy mommy moment. Today, this is what I found...
