Morning Craze

Lets go back to Christmas morning.

Stacy opens her present from Brian. One fake ticket to Les Miserables and money to buy the actual ticket. She is beyond excited. She has to wait until March 11th to hopefully get her greedy little hands on those beloved tickets.

She waits...

and waits...

and waits...

The fateful day arrives that will tell her if she is going to this incredible production of theater excellence or not. Today is the day. Ten AM is the hour. Phone ready, cell phone in other hand, computer server on go (however, I am in their "waiting room" page and I'm number 370). Ten o'clock arrives and my fingers are pressing redial like it is their religion. "The number you have dialed is busy, for only 75 cents Qwest will keep trying and call you immediately when the line is no longer busy." Over and over.

Claire has a blowout in her high chair. I take her to her room and say, in an impatient and longing voice, "Claire, not now, mommy has to buy tickets." Diaper changed in record time and fingers resume their dial worshiping.

Luck pours over me as I get connected on the phone. "Dial 'zero' for the ticket booth." YAY!!! I dial 'zero' and the unthinkable happens. I get a transfer tone, and then I got HUNG UP on! Come on!!! I rush to the computer and I'm now available to buy tickets. I scramble through the two weeks worth of show to see if I can get the best possible seats. There are ok ones, but nothing too great. Showings start to fill up just as fast as the seconds ticking by. I change my game plan and just try to get two seats together, don't care what day or time. Nothing. Game plan changed again. I now click like mad to get 2 seats in the theater on the same day. I got 6 on 3 different days. Process of elimination, we have great seats on the orchestra floor, but alas we are not sitting together.

Rachel is ok with being three rows and 2 seats apart.

I am ecstatic!

Now I need some ice cream and a nap.

Crawling and Talking

I think these videos are darling. We built a very small fort for FHE the other night and Claire loved it. She was "yelling" the whole time with a big smile on her face. Obviously one is of her crawling and the other is of her talking. :) Enjoy!

New Tricks

Claire learned to crawl last Wednesday. Since then, she has learned to get into a lot of things. Even though we have to re-child proof our house, it sure is cute to find her into things she's not supposed to be in.

Playing peek-a-boo. She puts her clothes over her face and gets ultra excited.

I always knew I would have a girl who loves yoga. Downward dog...

Got into the wrapping paper while playing with her "mirror friend". Hmm...maybe that friend is a bad influence. :)
